Thimphu, Punakha and Paro Tour Itinerary

Day 1
Bhutan Meditation & Pilgrimage  Tour
Flying on wings of the Dragon to Bhutan is going to be fascinating with the views of first sight upon the Bhutan Himalayas. Upon arrival in Paro International Airport, you will complete Immigration formalities and exit through the only arrival gate where TinyBhutan dedicated team would be waiting outside holding placard to receive you. We welcome with Khadaar (white scarf signifying purity) and proceed to Thimphu which would take about an hour and half. The entire stretch of drive is scenic and picturesque as you pass by some of the beautiful village of Bondey, Shaba, Isina etc until you enter the welcome gate in Thimphu
• Tachog Lhakhang: En-route to Thimphu, stopover for a brief walk towards Tachok Lhakhang crossing over Chakzam an iron Bridge or one can choose to stay back at the roadside and equally enjoy the monastery’s picturesque view.
• Chuzomsa: the confluence, meeting of two rivers each coming from Thimphu and Paro finally meet at Chuzomsa and flow further towards the Phuentsholing. Enjoy the lovely portrait of our King and the queen placed at Chuzomsa, signifying a welcome to all our guests visiting Bhutan.
• Explore Thimphu City: This bustling little city is the main centre of commerce, religion and government and private people in the country. Taking the street walk in Thimphu- the only city in the world without traffic lights gives you a sense of uniqueness from rest of the world. Thimphu is the modern city with an abundance of restaurants, internet cafes, nightclubs and shopping centers. However, Bhutan retains its cultural identity and values amidst the fast changing modernization. Overnight stay in Thimphu
Day 2
Bhutan Meditation & Pilgrimage  Tour
Morning after breakfast, you will be ready to drive towards Tango and Cheri monastery for meditation session. You would take about 45 minutes to reach there. Tango and Cheri is popular for the meditation spot, where you would find most people take three to five years of meditation over there. This place is located in the middle of forest with serine and quiet place for meditation.
• Buddha Dodenma: that is located at a hill top of Kuenselphodrang and Nature Park overlooking the entire Thimphu valley. The Buddha Dodenma is a gigantic 177ft tall statue, making it one of the largest statues of Buddha Shakyamuni in the world. We will spend brief meditation session at the fore ground /Inside of Buddha Dodenma.
• National Memorial Chorten: It is a Buddhist Stupa built in 1974 with initiative and architecture from His Holiness the Dudjom Rinpoche. It was built for the world peace and further dedicated to His late Majesty 3rd King Jigme Dorji Wangchuck. This Chorten is sacred and has great significance in making circumambulation for the once life time. You would have brief visit and appreciate its shrine and atmosphere. Latter you will spend some time to pray and meditate at some corner and places around Chorten.
• Tashi Chodzong (Fortress): By evening, it is refreshing to go for walk around the atmospheric fortress of Tashi Chodzong. It is the largest structure and landmark in Capital. It houses secretariat building, office of His Majesty, Throne Room, central Monastic body and few offices of Ministers. Overnight in Thimphu.
Day 3
Bhutan Meditation & Pilgrimage  Tour
Today we will drive to Punakha over Dochu la Pass which would take about 2 hours. After tea break at Dochu la, the road descends towards Wangdue and Punakha taking us to one of the warmest places of Bhutan. En-route you will have Meditation session at Dochu la pass till the lunch time. Lunch will be served at the Dochu la café.
• Dochu la Pass: It is the popular location as it offers stunning 180 degree panoramic view of the great Himalayan Mountain ranges. The view is scenic and clear especially on winter days giving Majestic backdrop to the tranquility of the 108 Chorten that grace the pass.
• Chimi Lhakhang: This temple is known as the temple of fertility. It is widely believed that childless couples visiting this temple can have better fertility and conceive child thereafter. There are stories and incidences that many visitors’ dream came true after their visit. But however, one must have a genuine belief and follow the spiritual instruction mindfully to accomplish the mission.
Making the way towards this temple through Mesina village gives an amazing experience with variety of souvenirs displayed on the way including the Phallus (made out of wood). It is seen everywhere with different sizes, shapes, and colors.
• Punakha Dzong:
It is one of the magnificent Dzongs (fortress) surrounded by Pho Chu (male river) and Mo chu, (female river). The Dzong replicates like a majestic ship that is being anchored at this river.

• Evening you will have meditation session in the lovely valley of Punakha. Overnight in Punakha.
Day 4
Bhutan Meditation & Pilgrimage  Tour
Punakha is often referred as the magnificent Dzong and also the winter residence for the monk bodies. It has potential to awaken spiritual drive since the arrival of His Holiness Zhabdrung Ngawang Namgyal from Tibet in 1616. Listening to the sound of Pho Chu and Mo-chu rivers flowing, simply one can make a soak-up in the serine atmosphere of gorgeous Punakha valley
• Hike to Khamsum Yule Namgyal Chorten for meditation: The temple stands majestically on the strategic ridge above the Punakha valley. Hiking to this temple takes about 45 minutes one way uphill climb. It is a splendid example of Bhutan’s fine architecture having drowned its details from the religious scriptures. It offers amazing views of Punakha valley and Mo-chu River flowing to the endless horizon. In the evening, silent prayer and meditation session will be arranged at one of the renounced temples of the valley. Overnight in Punakha.
Day 5
Bhutan Meditation & Pilgrimage  Tour
Today on 5th day, we will trace the journey crossing over Dochu la again and Chuzomsa and further towards Paro. The entire drive would be refreshing and give you the second time to appreciate the snowcapped Himalayas in the distance. En-route, you will have brief visit to one of the nunnery centers located at Namseling. There you can meet few senior nuns and exchange ideas about Meditation. You may even experience meditation with them as well.
• Paro Airport Bird Eye View: The Paro International airport is among the top 10 challenging airports in the world. Viewpoint from there, offers an exquisite view of the Paro Valley with beautiful stretched of airfield.
• Rinpung Dzong: Fortress that is believed to have built on a heap of jewel is the iconic figure in Paro valley. It is adorned with the typical wooden bridge on its foreground, giving perfect background for photography. Overnight in Paro
Day 6
Bhutan Meditation & Pilgrimage  Tour
Paro valley is home to most monasteries in the country including the world famous historical site Taktsang. It is also home to the sacred Mt. Jhomolhari (7326m). Paro has the maximum high-end Resorts, Hotel and Home stays with souvenirs shops.
• Tiget’s Nest: Tiger’s Nest is Bhutan’s iconic landmark and important religious site of the world. The name Taktsang translates as “The Tiger’s Nest” The temple is the main pilgrimage site even for the local people. Taktsang monastery offers a wonderful site that clings impossibly to a sheer cliff facing 900 meters above the valley. Although good trekkers make it in two hours, but most take an average time of three to five hours and some take even a whole day to complete. However for the challenged individuals, they can excess to riding pony facility at the base with some charges. On your way back, you can have lunch at Taktsang cafeteria facing the cliff and monastery almost next to your nose tip.. Latter we will have meditation at Zangdopelri located at base of Taktsang.
• Hot stone bath: In conclusion, we recommend you to experience the best of Bhutanese traditional hot stone bath for revitalization after days of tiring treks and tours in Bhutan. Your ache and pain will just melt away as you relax in and emerge with renewed vigor and vitality. Overnight in Paro.
Day 7
You will drive to Paro International airport and bid farewell by our representatives
